Conservation work - Carranballac Homestead

Purpose
Stay at historic Carranballac Homestead, a heritage listed bluestone residence and working rural property in western Victoria, and assist the McNaughton`s to renovate this unique property amidst rolling volcanic plains.
Areas of Responsibility
Heritage restoration & weed removal.
Tasks
the volunteers will be involved in heritage restoration, weed removal & general conservation works.
Objectives
Protection of the heritage & cultural values of Carranballac homestead.
Special Requirements
There are no specific requirements for the volunteers to join Better Earth projects. Volunteers can join for a day or for the whole week. There is a cost of $208 ($120 concession) (this includes food, accommodation & travel to & from the project). There is no cost if joining or the day or if you are local.
Role Qualifications
There are no specific qualifications or skills for the volunteers to join Better Earth projects.
Training/Supervision Provided
Volnteers will be given a demonstration on how to carry out tasks by the team leader. Conservation Volunteers employs Team Leaders who are qualiifed in OH&S, Level 2 First Aid & Risk Assessment
