Purpose
To increase awareness of cardiovascular disease amongst young people in your community with the aim of reducing future incidents of cardiovascular disease; Promote the lifesaving work of the Heart Foundation and its key health messages; Encourage fundraising activity - including the charity's Jump Rope for Heart initiative.
Areas of Responsibility
Relationship managing an agreed number of schools; Provide heart health presentations within schools; Work closely with the Jump Rope for Heart team to increase Jump Rope registrations; Be an advocate for the work of the Heart Foundation in your community; Personal administration and record keeping.
Tasks
Establish contact and build relationships with local schools, to increase awareness of the Heart Foundation, its life saving work, and cardiovascular disease; Providing heart health assemblies to schools; Promoting the charity's Jump Rope for Heart program, to encourage participation and generate new registrations.

Special Requirements
Required to undertake Working with Children and Police checkS; Own transport would be preferable, although not essential.
Role Qualifications
Excellent communications skills; Ability to build a rapport with both children and adults; Passionate about heart health; Good organisational skills; Proactive and reliable; Outgoing and cheerful disposition.
Training/Supervision Provided
Role specific training and induction plan will be adhered to; On the job training; Peer-to-peer training; Ongoing support; Minimal supervision after completion of induction program.
