'Heart Saver' Fundraising Group

Purpose
To plan, promote and oversee at least 3-4 fundraising events or activities per calendar year; Adhere to state fundraising law; Increase the profile of the Heart Foundation within your community; Build networks of support locally; Assist with local PR activity - for example photo opportunities; Administer and report back on fundraising activity and progress.
Areas of Responsibility
Event organisation; Event management; Fundraising; Advocacy; PR.
Tasks
To establish a fundraising group within your community, with the aim of planning, organising and overseeing a calendar of events or activities to raise urgently needed funds for the Heart Foundation, increase the profile of the charity locally, and build a network of support for the cause.
Objectives
To increase awareness of the Heart Foundation within your community, generate new income, and recruit new supporters.

At least 3 members
Role Qualifications
Within the group fundraising experience, administration, marketing and PR skills would be advantageous, although not essential. A desire to have fun and raise money to help combat cardiovascular disease -Australia's biggest killer - is a must!
Training/Supervision Provided
Formal induction and training; Ongoing advice and support; Must be willing to work independently following induction; Help with marketing and PR.
