Purpose
Band Members have the opportunity to enhance their skills, build friendships and networks, participate in public performances and contribute to the community.
Areas of Responsibility
Tasks
New Learners and Experienced Band Members are invited to contact Beaufort Municipal Band to enquire about joining the band or starting with the band as a student. Lessons are provided by experienced tutors who are also Band Members. Lessons are $10 per half hour and various incentives are provided, including some free lessons and provision of an instrument at no charge.
Objectives
Special Requirements
Band Members are required to attend Band Practice Friday evenings from 8pm-10pm and to be prepared to attend performances throughout the year. Lessons for students are generally on a Wednesday, but contact us with your expression of interest.
Training/Supervision Provided
Band Practice and Junior Band is lead by our experienced conductor Stephen East.
