Telelink Facilitator

- This position requires applicants to undergo a police check
- This position requires applicants to undergo a Working With Children check
- This position requires applicants to hold a current drivers licence
- This position requires applicants to have First Aid Certification
Purpose
The facilitator will lead a group of at least 9 people who speaks the Filipino langauge for at least once a week. The telepohone coversation wil last up to 45 minutes.
Areas of Responsibility
Has a positive and caring attitude towards the needs of elderly Filipinos. Tolerance, patience and have sense of humour.
Tasks
To facilitate the Filipino Telelink group at least once a week. Work with the coordinator in planning activities for the the group.
Objectives
To provide way for a group of Filipinos to chat on the phone and build friendships. To provide information and education to the group. To maintain independence in the comfort of their own home.
Role Qualifications
Can speak the National language which is the Tagalog.
Training/Supervision Provided
Volunteer will be fully trained and has ongoing supervision.
