Purpose
To prepare and present a [min weekly] on air radio program for the population of the Shire of Moorabool. This means gathering enough music tracks and information to plan and fill two hours of radio entertainment and information at a set time each week. In addition to support the workings and the activities of the Radio group with maintenance and promotions.
Areas of Responsibility
Program planning Music track preparation Music information gathering Compiling general items for info for the program. Communicate with listeners and interviewees
Tasks
Prepare and present an 'on air' radio program broadcast to the Shire of Moorabool and surrounds. All activities are regulated by a number of authorities including the governing committee of the station.
Objectives
To carry on a entertaining weekly radio program on air, thus building up a listener circle. To help promote the station and all its activities in the community. To support the community by providing a good and informative radio program
Special Requirements
Good radio voice, knowledge of the type of music presented.
Role Qualifications
Radio certificate III would be helpful but can also be obtained whilst working as a volunteer
Training/Supervision Provided
On the job training is available and further training supported
