Purpose
To improve the health and well being of members of the ex-service community.
Areas of Responsibility
Strict confidentiality and maintainig simple reports of visits undertaken.
Tasks
Visit ex-service members and war widows at home, hospital and in aged care facilities and to provide social support.

Role Qualifications
Anyone under the age of 90 can apply to be an RSL volunteer. Having an understanding and interest in the ex-servcie community would be helpful but not essential. A genuine interest in investing your time and empathy with people is necessary.
Training/Supervision Provided
Training in the principles and responsibilities of volunteering is provided. Specific training in home and hospital visiting is also given.
