Back-up Volunteer Driver

Purpose
In the event that one of our drivers is unable to work, On the second Wednesday of the month, pick up a pre-booked 11 seater bus from Unitingcare. Pick up aged people from culturally diverse backgrounds for the Multicultural Tucker program (12pm - 2:30pm.) Drop off those people after the program, top up the petrol tank (you will be reimbursed for this.) Return the minibus back to Unitingcare.
Areas of Responsibility
Picking up the bus from Unitingcare. Picking up clients to take to the program. Dropping off clients after the program. Topping up the tank, (you will be reimbursed for this). Driving the bus back to Unitingcare.
Tasks
Would you like to help out some of Ballarat's elderly migrant community? BRMC runs a monthly lunch program and requires volunteers to drive a hired minibus to assist clients to attend our program. It's a very important job and makes a big difference to our clients lives, for some this is the social highlight of the month!
Objectives
To provide a friendly transport service for people who are socially isolated

Only a friendly and patient demeanour for our clients
Training/Supervision Provided
Before commencing this job you will have the opportunity to accompany a current volunteer driver to become familiar with the route and our clients. You will also receive orientation into the program and an introduction to BRMC from Jason, the MCT coordinator.
