Community Visitors volunteer

- This position requires applicants to undergo a police check
Purpose
volunteers visit residents who have limited contacts and either just sit and chat or, if the resident is able to, take them out for a coffee or drive etc.
Areas of Responsibility
Tasks
visiting residents of agedcare facilities, such as nursing homes and hostels, who have limited contact with family or other visitors
Objectives
Special Requirements
current poilce check (no older than 6 months)
Role Qualifications
the desire to engage with residents to improve the quality of life.
Training/Supervision Provided
co-ordinator will provide assessment, training and on going supervision
