Divisional Emergency Catering Officer

Purpose
This role involves the coordination and management of available resources to ensure that the catering needs of people responding and displaced by an emergency are met. This could be through the use of ARCV emergency catering teams, other volunteer agencies, State resources and private enterprise.
Areas of Responsibility
This position covers the following Local Government areas: Ballarat, Central Goldfields, Golden Plains, Hepburn, Moorabool, Pyrenees Travel within these areas is required
Tasks
• Provide support, resources, guidance and direction to catering teams during an emergency. • Utilise local service providers where practical during an emergency • Develop outsourcing arrangements with local providers and ensure suppliers are sourced to assist with provision during emergencies. • Conduct emergency catering meetings and debriefs as required • Coordinate an annual resource audit of kits, trailer and other equipment. • Promote and develop inter-agency involvement • Organise equipment for teams through Service Coordinator and/or Emergency Catering Coordinator. • Maintain regular contact with State Catering Coordinator and Service Coordinator
